As a leading enterprise in China’s reflective materials industry, Daoming Optics has long played a vital role in road traffic safety. On July 22, the Huinong (Inner Mongolia–Ningxia border) to Shizuishan section of the Wuhai–Maqin Expressway (G1816) officially opened to traffic. For this key project, Daoming Optics supplied traffic signage products and Type V aluminum-based reflective sheeting, contributing to the safety of road users and witnessing this important milestone.
This opening marks the full completion of the G1816 Ningxia section, bringing significant changes to the regional transportation landscape.
01. A Vital Transportation Artery—Daoming Enables with Precision
The Ningxia section of G1816 Wuhai–Maqin Expressway spans 360 kilometers. It serves as a major auxiliary line of the national Rongwu Expressway and is one of the key east-central transportation corridors in China.
The newly completed Huinong to Shizuishan segment was the final section awaiting completion and forms a critical inter-provincial connection between Ningxia and Inner Mongolia. Built to dual four-lane expressway standards, the segment includes:

The project begins at the west end of the Yellow River Bridge, between Huinong District and Shizuishan’s agricultural zone, and ends at the Shizuishan South Interchange, connecting with the Shizuishan–Yinchuan section of G1816.
Spanning 57 kilometers, the road removes a longstanding bottleneck between Ningxia and Inner Mongolia and forms a dual expressway corridor together with the Beijing–Tibet Expressway, enhancing connectivity across Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, and Gansu.
It also holds great significance for regional economic development, transportation efficiency, and ecological conservation in the Yellow River Basin.
